Choir & Psalm Ministry
Music is a vital part of Catholic worship—lifting hearts, deepening prayer, and helping the entire assembly enter into the mystery of the Mass. At Our Lady of the Rosary, our Choir and Psalmists serve as leaders of sung prayer, offering their voices to glorify God and to guide the congregation in worship.
The Role of the Choir
The choir enriches our liturgies with beauty, harmony, and joy, supporting congregational singing and offering special musical selections that enhance the prayerful atmosphere. Through rehearsals and regular participation in Mass, choir members grow both musically and spiritually, forming a close-knit community united by faith and song.
The Role of the Psalmist
The Psalmist has the sacred responsibility of proclaiming the Responsorial Psalm during Mass. This is not merely singing—it is proclamation of the Word of God in song, inviting the assembly to listen, reflect, and respond. Psalmists prepare diligently, ensuring that their delivery is prayerful, clear, and rooted in Scripture.
Joining the Ministry
We welcome new singers and musicians who feel called to share their gifts. Musical training is helpful but not required—what matters most is a willing spirit, a love for music, and a heart for prayer. Rehearsals are scheduled regularly, and seasonal opportunities (such as Advent, Christmas, Holy Week, and Easter) offer a special chance to participate.
If you are interested in joining the choir or serving as a psalmist, please contact the parish office for more information. Your voice can help lead others closer to God.
