Safe Environment Program

At Our Lady of the Rosary, we are committed to creating a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment for all, especially the most vulnerable among us—children, youth, and vulnerable adults. Our Safe Environment Program is a parish-wide initiative that upholds the dignity of every person and promotes a culture of accountability, vigilance, and trust.

In accordance with the guidelines of the Diocese of Raleigh, all clergy, staff, and volunteers who work with minors or vulnerable individuals are required to:

  • Complete Safe Environment training
  • Undergo background checks
  • Adhere to a Code of Conduct
  • Report any concerns or suspicions of abuse promptly and appropriately

This initiative is more than a policy—it is an expression of our shared responsibility to protect and care for one another as members of the Body of Christ. By fostering awareness, offering education, and holding one another accountable, we strive to build a parish community where faith can flourish in safety and peace.

If you have questions about training, requirements, or how to report a concern, please contact the parish Safe Environment Coordinator or visit the Diocese of Raleigh website for more information.
