The Sacrament of Confirmation

Confirmation is the sacrament of spiritual maturity, where baptized Catholics are sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit and strengthened for a life of Christian witness. It deepens the grace received at Baptism, strengthens our bond with the Church, and empowers us to live boldly and faithfully as disciples of Christ.

In Confirmation, we receive the seven gifts of the Holy Spiritwisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety, and fear of the Lord—which guide us in making moral decisions, living with courage, and growing in holiness. These gifts help us recognize God’s will in our lives and respond with trust and purpose.

This sacrament marks a new chapter in our faith journey—one that calls us not only to believe, but to act: to share the Gospel, defend the faith, and live with love, integrity, and commitment to Christ in every part of our lives.

Preparation for Confirmation:
At Our Lady of the Rosary, high school students preparing for Confirmation must participate in a two-year Faith Formation program. This journey includes:

  • Regular attendance at religious education classes
  • Participation in parish life and liturgical celebrations
  • Retreat experiences and service opportunities
  • Ongoing reflection, prayer, and support from parents and sponsors

Through this preparation, candidates grow not only in knowledge of the faith but in personal relationship with Christ and the Church.

We invite all eligible students and families to register and begin this meaningful journey of faith, formation, and transformation.

Preparation: High school students can register in our Faith Formation program for Confirmation, which requires two years of preparation.
