Knights of Columbus β Faith in Action
The Knights of Columbus (K of C) is a global Catholic fraternal service order founded by Blessed Michael J. McGivney in 1882. Guided by the principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism, the Knights serve the Church, defend the faith, and support their communities through prayer, service, and fellowship.

About the Knights of Columbus

- Mission: Strengthening Catholic men in faith and service
- Membership: Open to Catholic men 18+ in union with the Holy See
- Charitable Focus: Catholic education, refugee relief, parish support, and global Catholic causes
- Financial Services: Knights of Columbus Insurance (Fortune 1000) and Asset Advisors
Women may join through the Columbiettes, and youth through the Columbian Squires.

The Fourth Degree β The Patriotic Degree
The Fourth Degree, also called the Patriotic Degree, is the highest level of the Knights. It focuses on patriotism, civic duty, and public witness of faith.
Purpose & Activities
- πΊπΈ Patriotism: Love of country and Catholic citizenship
- ποΈ Public Service: Honoring veterans, wreath-laying, community ceremonies
- π½ Color Corps: Knights in regalia serve at parades, liturgies, and funerals
- βοΈ Defense of Faith & Country: Keeping God in civic life
Membership
- Must be a Third Degree Knight in good standing
- Induction through an exemplification ceremony
- Belong to both a local council and a Fourth Degree Assembly
