Marriage (Holy Matrimony)

The Sacrament of Marriage is a sacred covenant, a lifelong union of love and fidelity between a man and a woman, reflecting the love of Christ for His Church. In Holy Matrimony, a couple invites God into their relationship, committing to grow together in faith, love, and mutual self-giving.

Because marriage is both a spiritual and lifelong commitment, proper preparation is essential. The Church is honored to walk with couples as they prepare for this beautiful vocation.

Planning Your Wedding:
Couples should schedule an initial appointment with the parish priest at least six months prior to selecting a wedding date. This allows time for meaningful preparation and ensures that all canonical and pastoral guidelines are met.

Marriage Preparation Includes:

  • Meetings with the priest
  • Participation in a marriage preparation program or retreat
  • Review of important topics such as faith, communication, family life, and the sacramental nature of marriage
  • Necessary documentation and planning of the liturgy

If you are engaged or discerning marriage, we encourage you to reach out to the parish office as early as possible. We look forward to supporting you on this joyful journey toward a Christ-centered marriage.
