A warm hello from Our Lady of the Rosary

The Welcome Group is our parish’s friendly front door. We greet newcomers, answer questions, and help every person find a place to belong, pray, and serve. Whether you’re new to the area, returning to the Church, or visiting for the first time—welcome. We’re glad you’re here.

What we do

  • Greeters at Mass: A smiling welcome, help with seating, and guidance for families and visitors.
  • Welcome Table: Answers to questions before/after Mass; parish registration forms and ministry info.
  • Follow-Up & Care: A personal message to new households, plus invitations to upcoming parish events.
  • Parish Tours & “Next Steps”: Quick walk-throughs of campus and connections to ministries, Faith Formation, RCIA, youth, and small groups.
  • New Parishioner Gatherings: Light refreshments and a chance to meet clergy, staff, and fellow parishioners.

If you enjoy meeting people and offering simple acts of hospitality, this ministry is for you.

Roles (choose one or more):

  • Mass Greeter (15–20 min before/after Mass)
  • Welcome Table Host (after Mass, 15–30 min)
  • Follow-Up Team (send a short note/text during the week)
  • Newcomer Gathering Helper (quarterly, 90 min)

FAQs

What if I’m not Catholic but curious?
You’re very welcome. We can connect you with a friendly conversation about the faith or our RCIA/OCIA pathway.

Do I have to register to attend Mass?
No—Mass is open to all. Registration simply helps us keep in touch and support you.

I have young children. Is there space for us?
Yes! Children are a gift to our parish. Let a greeter know if you need seating help or a children’s worship aid.
